Harmful substances
What does GHS07 mean?
The exclamation mark pictogram indicates acute toxicity of lower severity (H302/H312/H332), skin and eye irritation (H315/H319), skin sensitisation (H317), and respiratory/narcotic effects (H335/H336). Suppressed when GHS06, GHS05, or GHS08 applies.

Storage & handling requirements
Provide adequate ventilation in work areas. Wear appropriate PPE: gloves, eye protection, and respiratory protection if vapour concentrations may exceed OELs. Keep containers closed when not in use. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Regulatory context (CLP / OSHA / REACH)
CLP Acute Toxicity Cat. 4 and various irritation/sensitisation categories. Suppressed on label by GHS06 (acute tox. Cat. 1–3) and GHS05 per CLP Article 26. OSHA HCS 2012 aligns with these classifications.
Transport marking: GHS vs ADR/DOT
Harmful substances (Class 6.1 PG III) may display GHS07 for transport. However, many GHS07-classified substances fall below ADR transport thresholds and do not require hazmat placards for road transport.
