Cancer Classification: Group B2 Probable Human

CLASSIFICATION: B2; probable human carcinogen. BASIS FOR CLASSIFICATION: Folpet has induced carcinoma and adenoma of the duodenum (an unusual site) in both sexes of CD-1 and B6C3F1 mice. Folpet is also mutagenic in several in vitro assays and is an structural analogue of captan, which has been shown to induce carcinoma in the duodenum of two mouse strains. HUMAN CARCINOGENICITY DATA: None. ANIMAL CARCINOGENICITY DATA: Sufficient.
